Welcome!

Welcome to the new WeirdStuffToDo.com!

Please help us get it rolling in 2007 . . .

This free site is devoted to travelers who want to experience the most unusual sites in the country. Many of these places are not widely advertised, so any contribution here is valuable, especially in helping some unique establishments stay in business.

Whether it’s paranormal, fun and strange, or just downright bizarre, we hope you’ll both visit these locations and post some for others to enjoy. Big and small sites are welcome.

Also feel free to write personal reviews of these locations, or contribute any additional information that will help one find and enjoy the activities. We only ask that you please keep your comments professional and concise. Additionally, if you are starting a thread with a new place, please adhere to this basic formula to express the general info:

Name of Place, City of Place in Thread Title

Description of place in italics

Location: Specific information about location

Cost: Be as detailed as possible

Directions: Write directions to the best of your ability, then include a phone number and/or website for additional info, if available.

Here’s an example of an actual listing:

Free Paranormal Exhibit, Asheville

See personal effects from Joshua P. Warren’s paranormal travels. Includes a life-size statue of the Newby Phantom, sand from the Roswell crash site, realistic alien sculpture, Bigfoot casts, and much more. Plus find paranormal research equipment and images. Call (828) 216-3383 and ask about the personal paranormal training session with Warren, followed by a Haunted Asheville tour.

Location: Classie Moon Thrift Boutique, downtown Asheville, North Carolina

Cost: FREE; Open Wed-Saturday, 11am-7pm, Sunday noon-6pm

Directions: Classie Moon is downtown, next to the Grove Arcade, and across from Subway sandwiches, at 36 Battery Park Avenue. For more info, call (828) 252-3492 and see www.ClassieMoon.com

Each state is listed alphabetically, with the exception of North Carolina. Since NC is my home state, it's at the top of the list to serve as an example.

We hope you enjoy this free service and tell all your friends about it. When you plan a visit somewhere, please check WeirdStuffToDo.com and make the most of your adventure. And when you return home, please tell us about new places you found.

Thanks!
