Hello, i just wanted to tell of my visit to brown mountain. I live only half an hours drive from the mountain, so one day we decided to take a short trip and go for a visit. Most accounts that i have heard of the lights, they stayed distant and down in the valley, or far on the other side. Never had i heard of them coming so close. We began observing around 8 pm and we didn't see much for an hour or so. Then my cousin and i decided to branch off from the group. We sat on a little rock ledge and we began to see a few spots of light flitting around the valley. Suddenly, we saw a spot forming deep in the valley and it came straight up the side of the mountain and stopped right over our heads. It just hovered there for a minute and then vanished. No one else saw any activity that night. But we sure did. It scared us because when it came to us, the whole energy changed. Not necessarily in a bad way. It was just a bit otherworldly, like a spirit or apparition. I can never forget. Nor do i wish to.

Hey, that's an interesting experience.

Where exactly were you at?
How long did it last?
What color was it?

Just curious...

Where i was, if you go to the last official overlook on the left of the entrance, there is a rock formation that hangs over the side, but it is still relatively far from the edge of the cliff. Very close to the overlook. From the time it started up the mountain it lasted probably a minute and a half. It moved so fluidly. And the color was white with a slight yellow tinge. It was indeed very interesting.

Windspiritwolf - you are very lucky! That must've been a wonderful experience. Just curious - what was the weather like that night?
